○第三十六帖　柏木 女三ノ宮との密通が源氏に露見した柏木は、心労で重い病に掛かり、病床に臥しました。女三ノ宮は男子（薫君）を出産後、冷たい源氏に悲嘆・絶望し、出家してしまいます。それを知った柏木は重態に陥り、ついに亡くなります。 ・The 36 th Story - Kashiwagi Kashiwagi was confined to bed by illness as a result of excessive anxiety when his adultery with Onnna-San-no-Miya was disclosed to Genji. After giving birth to a boy (Kaoru-no-Kimi), Onna-San-no-Miya was disappointed by the indifference of Genji toward her and her baby, and then entered the priesthood. By hearing the news about her, Kashiwagi fell into a critical condition and died in sorrow.
