○第三十七帖　横笛 柏木の親友であった源氏の息子・夕霧は柏木からの遺言のとおり、柏木の未亡人・落葉の宮へ気を遣い、たびたび訪問します。その母・一条御息所から柏木遺愛の横笛を送られると、その夜夢に柏木が現れ、笛を伝えたい人は他にあることを告げました。夕霧は源氏にその旨を相談すると、源氏は「わけあって、その笛を預かろう」と申出ました。 ・The 37 th Story - Yokobue Yugiri, Genji's son and a friend of Kashiwagi, cared after and often went to see Kashiwagi's widow, Ochiba-no-Miya, according to his will. On the night that her mother, Ichijo-no-Miyasudokoro, gave him a yokobue (flute) cherished by Kashiwagi in his lifetime, Yugiri had a dream that Kashiwagi told him to give his flute to a certain woman. When Genji was consulted by Yugiri about it, he told him, 'I will keep this flute for some reasons.'
